A new start type, Scheduled Chip Start, has been added, combining the advantages of individual starts and chip starts. Each racer has a predefined scheduled start time, while the actual start is recorded by the chip only when the racer passes the start antennas at or after the scheduled time. Earlier antenna detections are ignored. This feature is particularly useful for shorter races where the same antennas are used for the start and for timing the first segment or finish. It prevents situations where a racer’s premature presence in the start area is incorrectly recorded as the actual start, causing a subsequent detection to be interpreted as the completion of a segment or even the entire race.
Fixed an issue that could occur when transferring a race database between different RaceMeter devices. If a race definition contained a reference to a specific device (for example, for start time precising) that was not available on the target RaceMeter, an error could occur when loading races. The system now correctly handles references to devices that are not available in the current configuration.
